Step 1:-
The institute or training organisation is required to download the criteria for the accreditation. This form comprises of all details of the course in terms of syllabus, modules, trainer seniority, infrastructural capacity, and research and analysis of the holistic instructional design of the course.
The training institute or educational organisation is required to duly fulfil the entire form, and submit it to ABICB along with the fee for the same.
Step 2:-
Review Process ABICB follow stringent protocol for the review process of training institutes. An autonomous body is appointment to screen each section of the application prior to physical inspection of the campus or classrooms.
ABICB team will offer suggestions based on the form prior to physical visit, adherence to the protocol suggested is compulsory.
Step 3:-
Campus Visit comprise of a team of inspection officers appointed by ABICB. This team will visit the venue with the detailed outlined procedure to check on various aspects such as training room capacity, IT infrastructure capacity, health and safety guidelines, CCTV cameras, evacuation process training to the staff if necessary, learning ambience and reading material available to students.
Step 4:-
Review Assessment is made by the assessor and accreditation officers. Their collective assessment is presented to the board along with physical evidence such as images and video footage of the campus.
The review process usually takes about a week prior to the decision. Institutes are required to be patient and wait for the results.
Step 5:-
Recommendation or Accreditation report is then sent to the training institute or educational organisation based on the reports by the review committee. If an institute has fulfilled all the criteria then an accreditation certificate is issued to the educational institution which is valid for a period of 5 years. However, if the institute fails to keep up the standards, then the inspection committee that makes periodic planned/ unplanned visit may disqualify the institute from the accreditation.
If a college, institute or educational organisation fails to achieve a decent accreditation they will receive a document of recommendations, having followed the recommendations suggested that institute can apply in the next year for achieving the accreditation.
