Quality Assurance

ABICB accreditation process is a multi-step assessment which is followed by a continuous review to ensure the effectiveness of our standards. We take measures to ensure that accreditation work meet the highest standards and provide a high quality of service to organizations.

These measures are taken by our internal quality assurance team which takes care of governance, management, inspection and accreditation. Our Internal Quality Assurance team comprises of Board of Trustees and maintain a close check on our accredited partners to ensure highest quality of standards are achieved and maintained. The accreditation team and quality assurance team work closely with each other. Accreditation team receives the applications from various organizations and makes a vigilant check against our set standards for the accreditation approval. The primary objective of quality assurance team is to make sure the reviews are done periodically for each accredited organization to maintain highest level of standards in the conduct of the activities.

ABICB's procedures for accreditation and quality assurance are designed in consultation with industry experts having years of experience and approved by the Accreditation Committee, and regularly reviewed for effectiveness, fairness and consistency. The procedures are published in a transparent and accessible format and are shared from time to time with the Accredited Partners.

Our Quality Assurance Team is trained in a systematic way which includes regular checks, updating and monitoring of each partner. Annual Training events are conducted for our quality inspection team to ensure they are updated with the recent updates in the overall process. The quality assurance team submits its inspection reports to the accreditation team and a judgement based on the outcome of inspection is taken. The committee regularly reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of the inspection procedures. We follow a strict conflict of interest policy at ABICB which applies to members of each committee. Each Team member is required to submit an annual declaration of interest to ensure that no involvement is involved in either the accreditation process or the inspection process.

Role of ABICB

ABICB's primary role is to assess the qualitative competence of the programs offered by a certification organization. Through the accreditation process, multiple areas within each program undergo thorough review periodically. The process of academic accreditation typically culminates in an external quality review by a team of professional experts from academe or industry. These experts volunteer their time, professional knowledge, and experience to this process of quality assurance and ongoing improvement to education in their disciplines.

The second role of the ABICB is to establish an arrangement between its accreditation body members which reduces risk to the business and its end customers by ensuring that an accredited certificate has enough weightage and may be recognized anywhere in the world.

Organizational Structure

Every organization has its own typical management structure that defines and governs the relationships between the various employees, the tasks that they perform, and the roles, responsibilities, and authority provided to carry out different tasks. The highest level of authority in ABICB is General Meeting Members. General Meetings make decisions and lay down policy in the name of the members.

The Executive Board is responsible for legal actions to be carried out on behalf of the members, for developing broad policy directions for ABICB and for ensuring that the day-to-day work of ABICB is carried out in accordance with policies approved by members.

ABICB Membership

ABICB's Accreditation body membership is open to organizations that conduct training programs by which they accredit bodies for certification of various products, services, technology or similar programs of conformity assessment.
